Zero plant-air usage
Regeneration, cooling, and stripping use blower-purged air, not the plant air a customer already paid to compress and dry.
TFG Dryers: Bone Dry
Bone Dry desiccant air dryers deliver pre-treated air to the desiccant bed during regeneration, protecting the main beds and eliminating energy-intensive purge waste. No other dryer on the market matches the efficiency of the TFG Bone Dry HE-HBP design.
High Efficiency Blower Purge HE-HBP Series Modular base. Configurable footprint. PLC controls. VFD blower. Multi-circuited heater. SCADA integration. What makes a Bone Dry dryer different
Regeneration, cooling, and stripping use blower-purged air, not the plant air a customer already paid to compress and dry.
A sacrificial purge tank pre-dries the regeneration stream so the main desiccant beds are protected from incoming moisture.
PLC logic, VFD blower control, and multi-circuited heaters target temperature precisely instead of pushing constant load.
Designed for retrofit installation and for utility-rebate energy stories built on real purge savings.
Process
Step 1: Pre-treatment Air flows through both main tanks while the purge tank pre-treats the regeneration stream so the desiccant beds are protected from incoming moisture.
Step 2: Blower-purge regeneration The regenerating tank is isolated and hot blower-purge air dries the desiccant. No plant air is consumed for sweeping or stripping.
Step 3: Cool-down The regenerated tank cools down with dried cooling air so it is ready for plant load without using plant air for sweeping, cooling, or stripping.
Intelligent controls
Bone Dry dryers ship with PLC controls developed by the same team that built The Fischer Group compressor control platform. Operators get a 15-inch color touchscreen, Ethernet integration, real-time trending, SCADA hooks, and remote programming. Reliability engineers get a dryer that actually tells the truth about its state.
ROI
A heat-of-compression desiccant dryer is the energy story most plants never get to see. One steel processor eliminated 3,784 SCFM of wasted plant air with a Bone Dry retrofit, saving roughly $500,000 annually and recovering project cost inside 24 months.
